House of Stank is a dynamic duality solely committed to the evolution of the house music movement.  ‘House’ implies a sense of unity, while ‘Stank’ refers to the infectious music that exudes freedom and spirituality.

House of Stank began on March 8th, 2006, as a weekly Wednesday party at Mr. Black, a small underground club in NYC.  “STANK,” as the party was aptly named, encompassed a profound dedication and love for house music and the many genres within it, including, deep, classic, Chicago and underground.  House of Stank was the brainchild of Christy Love, who, together with fellow partner and House music aficionado, W. Jeremy, aspired to bring house music to another level.

STANK’s 9-month journey played host to many of the house industry’s most influential figures.  The legendary wild pitch maestro, DJ Pierre, played a guest spot at STANK in April 2006.  DJ Pierre believed in the project so sincerely, that he, along with the House of Stank crew, launched a monthly party at STANK, dubbed “AFRO ACID: The Chicago Sessions,” named after his forthcoming release, “The Afro Acid Project.”  One Wednesday a month, Chicago jacked New York with such world-renowned guests as Cajmere (a.k.a. Green Velvet), Glenn Underground, Ron Carroll, Mark Grant and Harrison Crump.

DJ Christy Love

Christy Love has been involved in the house music scene for more than 17 years.  She began deejaying in 1996 at house parties throughout San Francisco, and co-hosted a weekly Chicago House party at the Haight Street favorite, The Top.  Legends like Cajmere, Paul Johnson, Derrick Carter and DJ Sneak have all played a heavy influence on her trademark style of funky, deep and tech house with bass-heavy beats, acidic grooves and inspirational vocals.  In recent years, Christy has become a major force in New York City’s underground house music scene.  She’s been a featured deejay at many of the city’s hot spots, including, Love, Sullivan Room, Mr. Black, Sapphire Lounge, Red & Black, Climax and Libation.  Christy ’s residency at STANK, her weekly house party at Mr. BLack, spawned a partnerhsip with the Chicago Acid House Legend, DJ Pierre, and included the monthly party, "AFRO ACID: The Chicago Sessions," which featured guest spots by such world-renowned artists as Green Velvet, Ron Carroll, Glenn Underground, Mark Grant and Harrison Crump.

DJ W. Jeremy

DJ W. Jeremy got his start on the turntables at the world famous Endup in San Francisco.  He became an instant resident from 1997-2003 at the notorious Otherwhirled party on Saturday mornings.  Jeremy has gigged at clubs and parties all over the Bay Area including Liquid, Club Six, 111 Minna, 1015 Folsom and 177 Townsend, as well as at the Snake Pit in Denver.  Since moving back to New York, Jeremy has steadily added clubs to his resume, including Abaya, APT, Baktun, Centro-Fly, Liquid, Lot 61, Love, Mr. Black and Sapphire Lounge, in addition to regular gigs at magazine events and parties for Allure, Details and Glamour.  In March 2006, W. Jeremy joined fellow resident Christy Love for a weekly party called STANK at mr. Black.  From this party came a joint venture between himself, Christy Love and the legendary Acid Maestro, DJ Pierre – a monthly party called AFRO ACID that started in February 2007 at Love.  Jeremy’s eclectic mix of tech and deep house music can be linked to inspirations from some of his favorite DJs ranging from Danny Tenaglia to Doc Martin.
